Gracious Givers

The monthly support that the Simpson family has provided has been a great help to the orphanage. In addition to their faithful monthly contributions, in March of 2007, Mama Lupita and the kids at Casa Hogar Elim had the honor of hosting Jessica Simpson. Jessica donated a Chrysler Town and Country Mini-Van to the orphanage. To show how God works, Mama Lupita's daughter, Juany, has an older Town and Country and one day earlier this year, Mama joked that she wanted that car. They laughed and Mama said that she would ask God for a car like that. (You can't write stuff this good.) Now she has a brand new, fully loaded Chrysler Town and Country.

There are several people who made this happen. Thank you first of all to Jessica, her parents, Joe and Tina Simpson, as well as David Levin and Lauren Auslander. Thank you to the people at Chrysler and their advertising firm BBDO (Jason Rackley). The dealership in Laredo was instrumental in getting the van to Texas. Thank you Shawn Young (GM), Joe Lerma (Chrysler Rep), Jack Dunn (Management), Joe Vazquez (Sales) and everyone else at Paul Young Chrysler who we may have forgotten. This generous gift was so appreciated by Mama Lupita. God will bless everyone for what they have done.

Also, Jessica appeared in a Pizza Hut commercial for this past Superbowl. In the ad, she wore a gorgeous red dress. That dress was auctioned off on EBAY and 100% of the proceeds went to Casa Hogar Elim. Obviously we want to thank Jessica. This was just another, in a list of blessings she has provided. Thank you also to the people at Pizza Hut corporate, especially Jennifer and Chris.

The entire Simpson family has been such a blessing for the orphanage. During the most recent visit, it was so obvious that there is a genuine love for the children, Mama Lupita and what she does. There aren't enough "thank you's" but Joe, Tina, Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, God bless you for your continuing support.
